Implants

An implant is a threaded screw made of titanium placed in the jaw bone. It is the most natural way to replace a missing tooth. It can be used to support a crown, a bridge, or to stabilise a denture.

Following a healing period of 3-6 months, to allow bone to grow around the implant, the crown is attached to replace the missing tooth.

Several implants may be fixed to a dental bridge or a denture to fill bigger spaces.

During the healing phase, a temporary crown may be placed during the healing period, so you have a tooth, and the temporary crown may also be used to get a better final aesthetic result.
